These 3 Mistakes Are Why Most Creators Will Never Make Money On X

Let’s face it:

Nobody is interested in your service.

Ouch.

I know that might hurt, but listen… I’ve been there too.

And I’m here to give you the 3 things that got me to finally sign my first client and scale to $3k/mo.

These are the exact problems I’ve tackled with my clients to help them scale their brands.

But today… you’ll get them for free.

Let’s jump into it:

Problem #1: Bad Offer

This one is obvious.

If your offer sucks, your business sucks.

It can be pretty hard to string together a grand-slam offer though…

I’ve talked about offers extensively before, but let me give you one more piece of advice:

In what area of life do you have pretty good results?

You don’t need to be outstanding…

But if you are better than average at something, you are qualified to sell it.

Say you’ve been writing tweets for 4 months and have grown a considerable audience of 400 followers.

You, my friend, are qualified to give advice on writing and audience building.

You can offer:

  • Coaching
  • Ghostwriting
  • Digital Products

The options are endless.

I feel like too many creators hold themselves back because they don’t feel qualified enough to sell.

This is bougus.

Just start selling. Period.

Problem #2: Bad Content

I recently went through some of my older tweets and had the biggest cringe attacks of my life…

(It was more cringy than accidentally calling your teacher “mom” - happened to all of us)

But there was another problem…

I didn’t post stuff people wanted to read.

My tweets had zero substance.

Here’s what I changed:

  • I clearly defined my ICP
  • I made a huge database of problems they struggle with
  • I wrote content solving those problems

I did that for 2 months straight.

And by the end…

I was getting inquiries on the daily.

Mistake #3: Bad DM Skills

Okay, this is the juciest one.

I’m gonna call out 95% of creators now:

Your DM skills fucking suck. And you’re broke because of it.

You need some tough love buddy.

Fact of the matter is:

99% of your future clients will have a DM conversation with you beforehand.

So you just cannot fuck this up.

Here are some broad guidelines that have helped me close $1000 deals over the DM’s:

#1 most important thing:

Be an honest person.

I know this is obvious but if you’re trying to sugarcoat things and use sleazy tactics…

You’re in for a rough one.

People respect honesty and if you can be upfront about your intentions (in a humorous way), people are much more receptive to being pitched.

This leads us onto another lesson:

Be more direct.

If you’re anything like me you’ll find it very uncomfortable to pitch people in the DM’s.

But the thing is…

You are not only preventing yourself from making money…

You are preventing that person from improving their situation (through your service).

You’re not only a pussy, you’re a traitor.

But what’s the worst that could happen?

They ghost you?

Pft… Who the fuck cares?

Alrighty, I’ll quickly cut this one off before it gets too spicy.
